group 5 assignment
dates
- Run experiment: November 14
part 1 assignment - Run Experiments from:
Chapter 19 and Chapter 21
- The biggest challenge will be running the experiments
quickly. Matching participants quickly will be particularly challenging (the
matching protocol described for the experiment in Chapter 3 is one way you
might do it). You should determine
whether you will have time to actually go around rolling dice for each
participant in each round of each game.
If not you may want to pre-roll everything for each participant and
write the values down on the corresponding sheets ahead of time. You might instead (or as well) reduce the
number of periods in some or all of the games.
It is up to you to make sure that we run each of the games during the
class time allotted.
materials- Photocopies of worksheets for each person in class including
payoff sheet and several 10 sided dice (probably one for each person in your
group).
part 2 assignment- Create a plot similar to Figure 19.2 using the Chapter 19
data for both Part A and Part B. What
types of auctions do these correspond to?
What does this data tell us and how does it compare to what is described
in the text?
- Create a plot similar to Figure 21.2 using the Chapter 21
data. What does this data tell us and
how does it compare to what is described in the text?
- Are there any other interesting patterns in the data?
- What do you think lies behind your results?
